The Locanda Tinti

The Locanda Tinti, which was opened recently, is in the center of the Diacceto village, at 500 mt. above sea level, it is situated on the main road which goes from Florence to the Casentino. The road is known as “ Il passo della Consuma”.

The Locanda is a faithful copy of the old coach houses, that used to offer tired coach drivers and their passengers a bed for the night with a simple meal.

Today the Locanda  offers much more with the kind attention that only a family business is able to give making it unique in our area.

Our hotel is situated in the tuscan countryside, in the middle of the countryside known as the “Terre del Levante Fiorentino”, amongst the vine-yards and olive groves, at the door of Florence, an art city, and on the edge of the Casentino forrests, in a land which is rich in history and culture.

The Locanda  consists of six rooms with double beds, two of which have twin beds, complete with bathrooms, air-condition and central heating, safes, telephone and saterlite television; the rooms are exquisitely furnished with solid wood late eighteen century furniture and handmade iron beds. The bed rooms have been restored maintaining the original beams, “terra-cotta” tiled floorings and roman doors with stone supports.

On the ground-floor is the bar with two large sitting-rooms, where one can be served continental breakfast, complete with homemade cakes.

Out side the Locanda are two terraces,  one on the first floor with beautiful and perfumed jasime bushes, whereas on the roof  is a solarium.

We offer a private taxi-service to and from the railway station in the nearby town of Pontassieve     (5 Km ), where with the train it is possible to arrive to Florence in 15 minutes, and olso to the railway station and airport of Florence. At present we are completing our new Restaurant of Locanda which will open at the beginning of 2002.

The price of a double room is Lire 150.000 ( Euro 77,46 ). The price of breakfast is Lire 15.000       ( Euro 7,74 ) per person.
